I. Autism Observance Month 2026
As part of Autism Observance month 2026,CDC organized a “ Parent well being ’’ program for parents of children with ASD on 6th April 2026 . The Programme conducted in collaboration with Pallium India and Helping hands Organization (H2O).
Activities Done
1. Parent mental well being Check up : by using
a) Quality of life of Parent Question
b) Kessler Psychological Distress Scale (K10)
c) Parent health questionnaire -9 (PHQ-9)
Based on the evaluation, Parents were provided brief counseling services and ensured follow – up Secession in CDC (KOODE project)
2. Parent Physical Checkup
It was done by assessing the weight,height,BMR and Fat percentage parameters and were consulted by 2 medical officers for General medicine dept ,Govt Medical College, TVm .They were provided with referral services as well.
3. Awareness Programe
A combined section on Gut issues and relational requirements for children and ASD were carried out by Dr.Prasanth K.S Associate Professor and Head ,Dept of Paediatric Gastroenterology, GMC TVM. and Dr.Anitha Mohan former State Nutrition officer and consultant clinical nutritionist
The programme was winded up with the provision of afternoon meal to all
participants which was sponsored by Pallium India.

II. Monthly Training Programme – ASD Parents
Scheduled monthly training for the parents of newleydiagnosed and children under risk with ASD was conducted on 10/04/2026 (1.30 pm -3.30 pm)
A total of 28 Parents attended for the programme.Topics covered as
1. Understanding ASD
2. Problem Behavioral Management
3. Skill learning demo and hands on learning
4. Mind fullness for parents
The session ended up with the Q&A session of parents
III. Combined group therapy session – ASD observance month 2026
A get-together of all kids participating in different group therapy sessions was conducted on 18th April 2026 as part of autism observance month.

3. Story time
4. Sensory park time
