Prof. (Dr.) M.K.C Nair is currently the “Professor Emeritus” in Developmental, Behavioural & Adolescent Pediatrics in Child Development Centre and is the former Vice Chancellor of Kerala University of Health Sciences. His efforts in bringing up the centre as an autonomous centre of excellence in Early Child Care & Education, Adolescent Care & Education, Pre-marital Counselling, Women’s Welfare and associated fields is indescribable. His term as Founder Director of this centre was from its inception in 1987 till October 2014 and later considering his academic excellence and professional contributions he was offered the position of Vice Chancellor in the prestigious Kerala University of Health Sciences. He is a renowned academician in the field of Clinical Child Development and Pediatrics. Dr Nair was the National President of Indian Academy of Pediatrics in the year 2004, Indian Clinical Epidemiology Network-2005-07 and National Neonatology Forum 2011-12.
