On the occasion of world down syndrome day, the child development centre organised a comprehensive health screening program for infants and young children (trisomy 21),the initiative was conducted in collaboration with the ENT department of Medical College, pedodontics department of dental college, genetics department of CDC. The program is also received support from H&R, Technopark

The screening aimed to provide a multi-disciplinary evaluation of the participating children. ophthalmological assessment ,including vision screening was carried out by expert from Ahalya institute and RIO tvm and spectacles were provided where necessary with the support from H&R Block

Dental examinations were performed by specialist from the Department of Pedodontics, while ear related concerns were assessed and managed by ENT specialist Hearing done by audiologist from CDC

Growth and developmental assessment were conducted by developmental therapist from CDC to monitor the overall progress of the children .medical examinations and laboratory investigations were managed by doctors and technical staff from the genetics department of CDC

 This multi-disciplinary approach ensured early identification and management of developmental and health issues commonly associated with down syndrome ,promoting better health outcomes and overall wellbeing for the children participated in this programme
